Ingredients
– 3 (17.5 oz) cans cinnamon rolls (save the glaze)
– 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced small
– 1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 3 tablespoons rum (optional)
Instructions
1-First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F and grease a 10-12 cup bundt pan with nonstick spray or butter and flour to keep everything from sticking.
2-Then, combine the 1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon in a small bowl and set it aside for later.
3-Next, open the 3 (17.5 oz) cans of cinnamon rolls, cut each roll into fourths, and toss the pieces with 1-2 tablespoons of the brown sugar mixture to coat them evenly.
4-In a separate bowl, mix the 2 large Granny Smith apples, which youβve peeled and diced small, with another 1-2 tablespoons of the brown sugar mixture.
5-Now, layer half the apples in the bottom of your bundt pan, followed by half the cinnamon roll pieces, then repeat with the remaining apples and rolls to build those delicious layers.
6-Melt the 1/2 cup unsalted butter in the microwave, stir in the 3 tablespoons rum and the rest of the brown sugar mixture until it turns thick and gooey, then pour it evenly over the top of your monkey bread.
7-Bake it for about 45 minutes, or until itβs golden brown and fully cooked inside keep an eye on it to avoid overdoing it.
8-Once itβs done, let it cool for 10 minutes before carefully inverting it onto a plate.
9-If you like, warm up the reserved cinnamon roll glaze in the microwave for 10-15 seconds and drizzle it on top.
10-Serve it warm, and watch as everyone pulls apart those tasty bites.
