πŸ₯Ÿ This Dumpling Soup recipe offers a quick, flavorful potsticker broth perfect for comforting meals.
🍲 Featuring savory ingredients like fresh ginger and sesame oil, it’s a satisfying and easy-to-make soup the whole family will enjoy.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

– 4 minced garlic cloves

– 2 tablespoons minced peeled fresh ginger

– 6 cups chicken stock

– 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce

– 4 green onions thinly sliced (white and green parts, plus more for garnish)

– 2 large peeled and julienned carrots or 1 cup shredded carrots

– 1.5 pounds frozen dumplings or mini potstickers

– 3 cups fresh spinach

– sea salt to taste

– 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

1-First, heat 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 2 tablespoons of minced peeled fresh ginger, stirring frequently until they’re fragrant, which takes about 3 minutes. This step builds the base of your savory broth and fills your kitchen with amazing aromas.

2-Next, pour in 6 cups of chicken stock, 3 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce, the sliced green onions, and the julienned carrots. Bring everything to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low and cook for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally until the carrots turn tender, creating that hearty dumpling broth everyone loves.

3-Once that’s done, add 1.5 pounds of frozen dumplings and bring the pot back to a boil over high heat. Let it simmer for around 4 minutes, stirring now and then, until the dumplings are cooked through. Finally, remove from heat and mix in 3 cups of fresh spinach until it wilts, about 4 minutes, then season with sea salt to taste.
