🍌 Enjoy a nostalgic, bite‑size treat that captures the classic flavors of a banana split in a convenient bar.
🍫 Creamy layers of banana, chocolate, marshmallows, and cherries make it a perfect shareable snack for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bars

Ingredients

– 1 1/3 cup (approximately 300 g) softened butter

– 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

– 1 large egg

– 1 ripe banana, mashed (about 1/2 cup)

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 1/4 cup (approximately 160 g) all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/3 cup (approximately 45 g) chopped peanuts

– 2 cups (approximately 90 g) mini marshmallows

– 1 cup (approximately 170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

– 1/3 cup (approximately 45 g) maraschino cherries, drained and quartered

Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch (23 x 33 cm) baking pan.

2-Combine butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg, mashed banana, and vanilla; mix until smooth.

3-Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet batter. Stir in the chopped peanuts.

4-Bake initial layer: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.

5-Add toppings and continue baking: Remove the pan, sprinkle the mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and quartered cherries over the top. Return to the oven and continue baking until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, roughly 10-15 minutes more.

6-Cool and cut: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 24 squares.

Notes

🍌 Use an overripe banana for richer flavor and natural sweetness.
πŸ’ Adjust the amount of maraschino cherries to suit your taste; they add color and a subtle tang.
⏳ Let the bars cool fully before slicing; this helps them set and reduces crumbling.
