๐Ÿ— Enjoy a quick and healthy protein-packed meal with these baked chicken meatballs that are perfect for any occasion.
๐Ÿง† Easy to prepare and customizable, these meatballs make a convenient dinner or meal prep option with minimal cleanup.

  • Total Time: 35-40 minutes
  • Yield: 30 meatballs (about 6 servings)

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground chicken or turkey provides lean protein and a tender base

– 1 egg acts as a binder to hold everything together

– 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs adds moisture and helps form the shape

– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese brings in savory flavor and extra binding

– 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional) for moisture and flavor

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– Black pepper to taste

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven: Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.

2-In a large bowl: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic if substituting, chopped parsley if adding, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

3-Shape the mixture: Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. For vegan or gluten-free versions, use the corresponding substitutes.

4-Place the shaped meatballs: Place the shaped meatballs evenly spaced on the baking sheet. For a crispier texture, spray them lightly with cooking oil.

5-Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (74ยฐC).

6-Remove from oven: Remove from oven, let the meatballs rest for 5 minutes, and serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or pasta.

7-Store leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

๐Ÿด For richer flavor, use dark meat turkey or add fresh minced garlic and onion instead of powders.
โ„๏ธ These meatballs freeze well; bake them first, freeze, and reheat at 400ยฐF for about 15 minutes.
๐Ÿ”ฅ For extra browning, briefly sautรฉ the meatballs in a pan after baking or use an air fryer at 375-390ยฐF for 14-20 minutes, turning halfway.
