Ingredients
– 8 lb spiral cut ham
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1 cup pure maple syrup (not artificially flavored)
– 1 cup pineapple juice
– Cooking spray
– Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
1-Coat a large 7-8 quart crock pot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
2-Place the ham cut side down in the crock pot for even cooking.
3- Rub the 1 cup brown sugar all over the ham, then pour the 1 cup pure maple syrup and 1 cup pineapple juice over the top to create a sweet glaze.
4-Cook for 3-4 hours on low heat, or until a thermometer reads 140 degrees F in the thickest part of the ham.
5-Transfer the ham to a serving platter once itβs done.
6-Pour the liquid from the crock pot into a medium-sized pan.
7-Simmer the liquid over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes until it thickens into a glossy glaze.
8-Pour the glaze over the ham and garnish with fresh herbs if desired before serving.
