๐Ÿช The Double Chocolate Halloween Cookies Recipe delivers a spooky and deliciously rich treat that’s perfect for fall celebrations.
๐ŸŽƒ Combining deep black cocoa with sweet white chocolate and festive candies makes these cookies both visually striking and flavorful.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, at cool room temperature

1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar

1/4 cup (50 grams) brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg, at room temperature

1 cup (127 grams) all-purpose flour, measured properly to avoid tough cookies

1/2 cup (43 grams) black cocoa powder or Dutch-process cocoa powder, sifted to avoid clumps

1 tablespoon cornstarch, to keep cookies soft and tender

1 teaspoon fine sea salt, to enhance flavor

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup white chocolate chips, plus extra for garnish

1 cup (218 grams) Halloween-themed candies, plus extra for garnish

Edible candy eyes, for garnish

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2-In a mixer bowl fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).

3-Scrape down the bowl; add the vanilla extract and egg, beating well to combine.

4-In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.

5-Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, beating until a slightly sticky dough forms.

6-Fold in the white chocolate chips and Halloween-themed candies using a rubber spatula.

7-Using a cookie scoop, drop 3-tablespoon sized dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.

8-Decorate the dough balls with extra chocolate chips, Halloween-themed candies, and edible candy eyes.

9-Bake for about 12 minutes until puffy but still soft; avoid overbaking.

10-Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
