Instructions
1-In a medium bowl, whisk together 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and ΒΌ teaspoon nutmeg if you’re using it.
2-Using an electric mixer, beat β cup softened butter and 1 cup sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, which usually takes a couple of minutes.
3-Thoroughly mix in 2 eggs, one at a time, to keep the batter smooth and well-incorporated.
4-Alternately add the flour mixture and 1 cup milk slowly, stirring until everything is fully blended without any lumps.
