Ingredients

– chocolate sandwich cookies (regular type, not double stuffed) to crush and create two-thirds of the crumbs for the base in a 9ร—13 pan, with the remaining crumbs for topping

– cream cheese, softened at room temperature

– butter, softened but not melted

– powdered sugar, sifted

– whipped topping or homemade whipped cream

– instant chocolate pudding mix (do not use cook type)

– flat cookies (for tombstones)

– gummy candies and candy-shaped pumpkins for decoration (optional)

Instructions

2-Beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar and whipped topping.

3-In a separate bowl, whisk milk and instant chocolate pudding mix until combined. Fold this into the cream cheese mixture.

4-Pour the combined mixture over the crumbs in the pan.

5-Top with the remaining crushed cookies.

6-Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

7-Before serving, decorate by writing on the flat cookies with black icing and placing them upright on the cake as tombstones. Add gummy candies and candy-shaped pumpkins for a graveyard effect.
