Ingredients

– 1 lb (16 oz) bag pretzels (tiny twists, butter braids, or butter waffle/butter snap pretzels)

– 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil

– 3-4 tablespoons honey (adjust to preferred sweetness)

– 2 tablespoons ground mustard powder

– 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar

– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

– 1 tablespoon brown sugar

– 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon seasoned salt

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

– 1/8 teaspoon paprika

– 1 1/2 tablespoons mustard powder for after baking

– 2 teaspoons garlic powder for after baking

– 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt for after baking

– a pinch of turmeric for after baking

Instructions

1-Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 225ยฐF. Line two standard half baking sheets (18ร—13 inches) with parchment paper.

2-Place pretzels: Place pretzels in a large bowl.

3-Whisk ingredients: Whisk together all remaining ingredients (except the after-baking seasonings) to make the honey mustard sauce.

4-Pour sauce: Pour the sauce over the pretzels and stir to fully coat.

5-Divide pretzels: Divide pretzels evenly between the prepared baking sheets, spreading them in an even layer (a little overlap is acceptable).

6-Bake: Bake for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes and rotating the sheets if needed to prevent burning.

7-Cool pretzels: Allow pretzels to cool completely, ensuring they are spread out to avoid sticking.

8-Toss with seasoning: Toss the cooled pretzels with the additional seasoning blend to add extra flavor and a classic coated appearance.

9-Let sit: Let them sit if possible; flavors intensify over time before serving.
