Ingredients
– 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 1 tablespoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
– 12 ounces penne pasta or preferred pasta
– 1 cup heavy cream
– Β½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
– 1 tablespoon minced garlic
– 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
1-Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, reserving about Β½ cup of pasta water. Drain and set aside.
2-Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
3-Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 5 6 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into strips.
4-In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sautΓ© garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
5-Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in honey and black pepper, adjusting pepper to taste.
6-Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
7-Garnish with fresh parsley and extra black pepper if desired. Serve warm.
