๐Ÿฅž Enjoy soft and fluffy pancakes made with kefir, adding a tender texture and subtle tang for a delightful breakfast.
๐Ÿ This easy recipe ensures perfectly golden pancakes with tips to elevate your morning meal experience.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 pancakes 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour Gives structure and helps achieve fluffy pancakes

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

2 large eggs

2 cups kefir Provides moisture and probiotics for a tangy, soft base

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1-First, in a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well mixed. This sets the base for your batter.

2-Next, add the eggs, kefir, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, stirring just until combined with no visible flour streaks, but keep it slightly lumpy to avoid tough pancakes.

3-Heat a lightly greased nonstick pan or griddle over medium-high heat for even cooking.

4-Pour the batter in portions that make flipping easy, aiming for about 1/4 cup per pancake.

5-Cook until bubbles form and the edges start to set, which takes around 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.

6-Once done, transfer the cooked pancakes to a plate and continue with the rest of the batter.
