๐Ÿฅญ Enjoy a tropical twist on classic iced tea with the sweet, natural flavor of ripe mangoes.
๐Ÿน Perfect for cooling down on hot summer days with a refreshing and hydrating beverage.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

– 1 cup mango puree, made from fresh ripe mango or thawed frozen mango chunks

– 2 cups boiling water

– 2 to 3 bags of black tea (quantity depends on tea variety)

– Honey or other sweetener to taste (optional)

Instructions

1-If using frozen mango chunks: let them thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes. If using fresh mango, peel and cut it into chunks to start with fresh flavors.

2-Puree the mango chunks in a blender or food processor until smooth, creating that creamy base we love.

3-Pour the 2 cups of boiling water over the 2 to 3 bags of black tea and steep them covered for 5 minutes to get a strong, flavorful tea.

4-Remove the tea bags and add the 1 cup of mango puree to the brewed tea, sticking to a ratio of about two parts tea to one part mango puree for the best balance.

5-Cover the mixture and refrigerate until cool, which takes roughly 30 minutes, to achieve that icy refreshment.

6-Strain the tea through a sieve or cheesecloth, pressing out as much liquid as possible from the mango pulp for a smooth finish.

7-Sweeten the tea to taste with honey, sugar, or your preferred sweetener if desired, and then serve over ice for the ultimate chill.
