πŸͺ Oreo Balls are easy no-bake chocolate cookie truffles that combine creamy filling with rich chocolate coating.
🍫 These delicious treats are perfect for any occasion and require minimal prep time, making them a quick indulgence to satisfy your sweet tooth.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature

– 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (use whole cookies, including the cream filling)

– 1 cup melted chocolate wafers or candy coating (a mix of chocolate and white chocolate can be used)

– Extra melted chocolate for optional decoration

– Crushed chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs for optional decoration

– Sprinkles for optional decoration

– Crushed peppermint for optional decoration

– Chopped nuts for optional decoration

Instructions

1-Process: Start by processing whole chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor until you get fine crumbs with no large pieces. This step sets the base for that iconic flavor and texture we love in Oreo balls.

2-Beat and mix: Beat the softened cream cheese until it’s smooth and creamy. Then, add the cookie crumbs to the cream cheese and mix everything thoroughly until fully combined. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper or wax paper to keep things neat.

3-Freeze and coat: Freeze those balls for 15 minutes to firm them up before coating it’s a smart trick that makes dipping less messy! Melt the chocolate wafers or candy coating following the package instructions, whether that’s in the microwave or using a double boiler. Dip each frozen ball completely into the melted chocolate, use a fork to lift it out, and gently tap off any excess chocolate.

4-Finishing Touches: Place the coated balls back on the lined tray and decorate right away if you like, with extra drizzles of melted chocolate or toppings such as cookie crumbs, sprinkles, crushed peppermint, or chopped nuts. Refrigerate the balls for at least one hour so the chocolate sets completely. Once done, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, or freeze for up to 2 months just separate layers with parchment or wax paper if needed.
