πŸͺ This recipe is easy to follow and produces perfect cookies every time, ideal for sharing and gifting during any occasion.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 36 cookies

Ingredients

– ΒΎ cup creamy no-stir peanut butter (188g)

– Β½ cup unsalted butter, softened (113g)

– Β½ cup granulated sugar plus extra for rolling (100g)

– Β½ cup packed light brown sugar (110g)

– ΒΌ teaspoon salt

– 1 large egg, room temperature

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1Β½ cups all-purpose flour (180g)

– Β½ teaspoon baking soda

– 36 chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven: preheat your oven to 375Β°F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.

2-Combine the wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer with a paddle attachment, combine the peanut butter, unsalted butter, sugars, and salt, beating on medium speed until well mixed. Add the egg and vanilla extract next, beating again while scraping down the sides as needed for even incorporation.

3-Mix the dough: Once your wet ingredients are smooth, add the flour and baking soda, mixing on low speed just until combined to form the cookie dough.

4-Shape the dough: Use a cookie scoop to form the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll them in granulated sugar if you want that extra crunch.

5-Arrange the dough: Place the dough balls about 2 inches apart on your prepared cookie sheets.

6-Bake the cookies: Bake them for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they’re puffy, cracked, and the bottoms are lightly golden.

7-Press chocolate kisses: Right after taking them out of the oven, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie while they’re still warm, allowing them to cool completely on the pan until the chocolate sets.
