Ingredients

– 1 pound smoked sausage or kielbasa cut into ¾ inch chunks

– 12 ounces thick-cut bacon (use half a slice to wrap each chunk)

– 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature

– ¼ cup sour cream

– 1 stem jalapeno seeds removed and diced

– ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese

– ½ teaspoon seasoning

– ¼ cup BBQ sauce for the glaze

– ⅛ cup honey for the glaze

– 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar for the glaze

– Jalapeno slices as needed for topping each piece

Instructions

1-First, cut 1 pound of smoked sausage or kielbasa into ¾ inch chunks and wrap each with half a slice of 12 ounces thick-cut bacon.

2-Next, prepare the filling by combining 4 ounces cream cheese (room temperature), ¼ cup sour cream, 1 diced jalapeno stem (seeds removed), ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, and ½ teaspoon seasoning until smooth.

3-Pipe the creamy filling onto each bacon-wrapped sausage piece and top with a jalapeno slice for added heat.

4-Mix the glaze using ¼ cup BBQ sauce, ⅛ cup honey, and 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar, then brush it over the assembled bites.

5-Place the Pig Shots in a muffin tin for easy baking and cook at 375°F (190°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until the bacon is crispy.

6-For variations, you can smoke them at 300°F for 45 to 50 minutes or air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes to change things up.
