1/2 cup panko or plain breadcrumbs

1 large egg

3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed

1 tablespoon Sriracha

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon fresh ginger (or ginger paste)

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 heaping cup honey

2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon ginger, minced (or paste)

3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed

Green onions and sesame seeds for serving (optional, quantities as desired)

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven: to 400ยฐF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or cooking spray.

2-In a large bowl, gently combine all meatball ingredients, avoiding overmixing.

3-Form about 16 uniform meatballs using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop or by hand, and place them on the baking sheet.

4-Bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF.

5-While the meatballs bake, prepare the sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

6-Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens to a glaze consistency.

7-Serve the meatballs topped with the sauce or on the side, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
