Ingredients

Instructions

1-First, slice 2 pounds of tenderized round steak or cube steak into 1-inch strips for that perfect bite-sized shape.

2-Then, set up your dredging station: mix 1 cup flour with 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne in one bowl. In another, whisk together 3 eggs and 1 cup of milk to create a smooth dipping mixture.

3-Next, dredge each steak strip in the flour mixture, dip it into the egg and milk mix, and coat it again in the flour for extra crispiness.

4-Heat a skillet with a blend of canola oil and butter over medium to medium-high heat, then fry the strips in batches of 4 to 5 until they’re golden brown about 2-3 minutes per side.

5-For the gravy, remove the excess grease from the pan but keep 1/4 cup; add 2 to 4 tablespoons of flour to make a golden paste, then whisk in 2 cups of milk and season with salt and pepper to taste.

6-Once everything’s done, serve your steak fingers hot with the gravy on the side.
