– 1 1/2 pounds (2 pints) fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
– 4 tablespoons sugar
– 4 tablespoons orange liqueur
– 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
– 1/4 cup powdered sugar
– 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
1-First, in a medium bowl, combine the cut strawberries, sugar, and orange liqueur. Stir to mix, cover, and refrigerate for at least one hour and up to two hours, stirring once or twice.
2-Just before serving, in a large mixing bowl, beat the cold heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
3-Using a spatula, gently fold in the sour cream until well blended.
4-Then, stir the strawberries and divide them between six serving glasses or bowls, optionally spooning some syrup over the berries. Top evenly with the whipped cream mixture and serve immediately or chill and serve within two hours.
