1 box strawberry cake mix
2 large eggs
1/3 cup salted butter, melted (or 1/3 cup oil)
1 teaspoon strawberry extract (optional)
3/4 cup powdered sugar for glaze
2 tablespoons strawberry preserves for glaze
1 1/2 tablespoons milk for glaze
Instructions
1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray an 8ร8-inch or 9ร9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper, leaving the paper extend up at least two sides to help with removal.
2-In a large bowl: combine the 1 box strawberry cake mix, 2 large eggs, 1/3 cup salted butter (melted, or 1/3 cup oil), and 1 teaspoon strawberry extract (if using) until the batter is thick and well mixed.
3-Press the batter: evenly into the prepared pan.
4-Bake for 18 to 25 minutes: or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remember, oven times may vary depending on oven type and pan used.
5-Remove from the oven: and cool completely on a wire rack.
6-To make the glaze: whisk together 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves, and 1 1/2 tablespoons milk until smooth.
7-Pour the glaze: over the cooled brownies and spread evenly. Cut into 9 large or 12 small pieces and serve.
