Instructions
1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Grease a baking sheet with oil to prevent sticking.
2-Remove stems: Remove stems from the mushrooms, finely chop them, and set aside for the filling.
3-Melt the butter: Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chopped mushroom stems for 5 minutes until most of the moisture evaporates.
4-Add the onion, garlic, salt, and pepper: cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the onion softens.
5-Transfer the mixture: Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool slightly.
6-Mix in the cream cheese: parmesan cheese (except for the reserved 1 tablespoon), parsley, and pecans (except for the reserved 1 tablespoon) until combined.
7-Fill the mushroom caps: with about 1 tablespoon of filling, mounding it slightly but not overfilling.
8-Sprinkle the reserved: 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese and the reserved 1 tablespoon of pecans on top.
9-Bake: for 20 to 25 minutes until the tops are golden and the mushrooms are tender.
10-Garnish: with additional parsley before serving.
