πŸ¦ƒ The Cranberry Turkey Crescent Ring is a delicious and festive dish perfect for holiday meals and gatherings.
πŸ₯§ Combining savory turkey, spinach, Swiss cheese, and tangy cranberry sauce wrapped in golden crescent dough makes a crowd-pleasing centerpiece or appetizer.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

– 2 cups of cut-up cooked turkey (in 1/2-inch pieces)

– 2 cups of lightly packed chopped spinach leaves

– 7 ounces of Swiss cheese (about 10 slices, cut into 1/2-inch squares)

– 1/2 cup of canned whole berry cranberry sauce (with extra cranberry sauce for serving if desired)

– 2 cans of crescent dough

Instructions

1-Getting started with this Turkey Crescent Ring: First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure even baking. In a medium bowl, mix together the turkey, spinach, cheese, and 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce to create the flavorful filling.

2-Next: unroll the dough from both cans and separate into 8 rectangles. Arrange these on an ungreased large cookie sheet in a ring shape, with the short sides overlapping to form a 5-inch circle in the center. Spoon the turkey filling onto the half of each rectangle closest to the center, making sure it’s evenly distributed.

3-Then: fold each dough rectangle over the filling and tuck it under the bottom layer to seal, keeping the filling enclosed but slightly visible through the top. Gently separate the dough perforations on top for a nice finish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked, then let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

🎯 Use fresh or well-cooked leftover turkey for best flavor and texture.
πŸƒ Lightly pack the spinach to avoid excess moisture which can sog the dough.
πŸ§€ Cutting the Swiss cheese into squares helps it melt evenly throughout the filling.
